This was a semi-emergency situation. I was seen within two days. My tooth was filled the same day I was seen. The dentist called later that day to make sure that everything was okay. I was very surprised by that, no dentist has ever followed up with a call. Thank you!

I think you folks are the best. There are other dentists in my dental plan that would make me eligible for a higher reimbursement, but none that I know I would be as comfortable with and trust as much.

If you like a detailed explanation of your account and an honest assessment of the work you need done, this is the place to go. If you like the idea of simply handing over your wallet and credit cards, having to sit in a dentist chair once to twice a week and having the same tooth worked on three times in one month, Dr Yao's office is not for you. Dr Yao works within the limits of your insurance, explain in detail your financial options and does the best work for taking care of your existing problems. He's without a doubt the best dentist in the Seattle area.

Great dental practice with caring staff. I have been going to them for over 35 years and happy to see the same smiling face at the front desk. That says a lot about how they operate.

Dr. Yao's Dentist office is Off The Hook! Very Kid and Adult friendly. We have been patients for a number of years. Even though we have moved a couple of times we will not be changing dentists as Eric & staff are Awesome!!!

I had 9 cavities filled at my last appt. it took approx. 1.5 hours and there was ZERO pain. Every procedure I have ever had with a dentist/hygienist involved pain, until now, I am amazed at the techniques used in this office!

I have been fortunate to have some good dentists in my life but Dr. Yao is the best! He is gentle, considerate, and in the almost 2 hours he was working on my teeth today I felt absolutely no pain whatsoever. If you are hesitant about going to a dentist, or if you want an exceptional dentist, Dr. Yao is the guy for you.

The staff go out of their way to make your visit as comfortable as possible. They explain as they work and let you know what preventative things you can improve on. Very satisfied!

Dr. Yao is very thorough and professional. He explains my treatment plan and procedures and informs me of options. He and his staff are willing to work with my insurance and payment options when necessary. Dr. Yao always calls me after he has done a procedure to make sure I am OK. He actually does care about his patience and Janis at the front desk is amazing. She really knows her stuff. If there is ever an insurance glitch I always know I can count on her to help me with it. The entire staff is very caring and professional. AND - I rarely if ever have to wait beyond my appointment time - that is very much appreciated.

I've been going to Dr. Yao's for years. The staff is always so nice and professional. I feel well taken care of and informed about the dental care I'll receive or what my options are. Dr Yao is amazing. I've always had a good experience. When I've had major work, he will call after to make sure everything is okay. Dr. Yao's office is also up-to-date on best dental practices and patient safety. For example, when I went in for my cleaning, they had new x-ray equipment that had lower radiation. In addition to routine oral cancer screening, they can also do a throat cancer screening if needed. Highly, highly recommend!

Super friendly and very professional staff! Im usually nervous at the dentist, but everyone put me at ease. I enjoy how things are never rushed. They do separate appointments for charting, findings, cleanings and of course the procedures. Overall I’m pretty happy with the service so far!

I'm pretty terrified of dentists. So finding Dr. Yao was a godsend for me. I can honestly say I've felt practically no discomfort during the year and a half I've been coming to Dr. Yao. I've suffered at the hands of bad dentists. And that made me not want to go to the dentist at all. But finding Dr. Yao turned all that around for me. I'm no longer anxious before my visits. And Janice in the front office is the absolute best btw! Dr. Yao should be very grateful to have her. :)

Dr. Yao not only took care of my most important issues but took the time to ask me about my needs. He valued my time by caring for more than one issue at one sitting (not requiring me to make separate appointments).

I have been a patient here for almost a decade now, so this review is long overdue. I have had multiple root canals, fillings and cleanings over the years and each step has been great. When it comes to root canals the pain management is amazing, and the crowns I receive always feel natural. Jan, Helen, Alicia and the hygienist (sorry, the name escaped me!!) are all great to work with as well. Another factor in why I will always go back is that they are easy to work with when it comes to payment. I owed them a large balance due to insurance complications on my end, and they were excellent in working with me on a plan. This was HUGE because it was right before my wedding and funds were tight. The doctor is great, and not just because he has the same name as myself. He is skilled in his work, but outside of work you can tell he is a family man with similar values of my own. When it comes to supporting business I like to choose the ones who understand we work to live, not live to work.

Dr. Yao has been my dentist ever since he started his practice in Shoreline. I think he is wonderful and I would recommend him to anyone. He's kind and friendly and I like that he's very up-to-date with the latest technology. He takes his time to answer any questions and he does a thorough job when performing procedures. His staff is also warm and friendly. I actually look forward to coming in for my routine cleaning and exams. I highly recommend Dr. Yao!
